About

I am a DPhil candidate in Politics at the University of Oxford, based at Balliol College under the supervision of Ben Ansell and David Rueda. My research focuses on comparative political economy, with a secondary interest in research methodology, particularly behavioural and experimental methods.

I am interested in how political institutions shape economic outcomes. My current projects combine survey experiments, survey data and large language models to study why legislators bundle unrelated policies into single bills, and how perceptions of government efficiency shape support for redistribution.

Before the DPhil, I completed an MPhil in Politics (European Politics and Society) at Oxford, an MSc in Economics (Behavioural Economics and Game Theory) at the University of Amsterdam, and a BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Governance, Economics and Development) at Leiden University College The Hague.

In 2023 I worked as a research trainee in Netflix’s Office of the Global VP of Public Policy, focusing on digital market regulation. I also serve as the inaugural Senior Editor of the Economics section of the Oxford Political Review, and previously interviewed politicians, academics and journalists on stage for Room for Discussion at the University of Amsterdam.
